Half green sheepskin binding ca 1840. Back with Jansenist nerves. Golden title and number. Thinning back. Blunt corners.
The work is a collection of thoughts, short stories, poems, mood notes on all kinds of subjects, on drunkenness, brunettes, tea, cabalists, hunting, celibacy, riches, a a kind of entertaining, original and free pendant to the collections of uplifting and moral thoughts that circulated at the same time. The whole thing is read like a contemporaryical, always in the entertaining and satirical spirit.
