First edition, posthumous, established on a manuscript owned by Madame de Condorcet.
Binding half brown sheepskin contemporary corners. Smooth back decorated with 5 small florets. title label in garnet morocco. Cracks along the first bit. Friction. An epidermis in mind. The headdress and corners may have been taken back in the past.
Means of learning to count safely and with ease , is a basic arithmetic textbook for primary schools and accompanied by abundant notes for teachers. Condorcet was very interested in the education of the children whom he considered essential to the progress of humanity. Before approaching the practice of the four operations, Condorcet exposes "the number system currently used in France", that resulting from the Revolution.
