Original collective edition of these two works, published respectively in Oxford in 1701 (Physica) and 1718 (Astronomy); illustrated with a vignette title, 12 folding plates for physics (experiments, diagrams, geometry), 29 for astronomy, trigonometry and 6, numbered I to XLVII.Pleine sheepskin vintage mottled brown. Spine ribbed ornate. Part of title in red morocco. Binding used. Torn off caps. Tail jaws open and head along the two casing upper jaw. Highly rounded corners. Paper more or less brown. Treaty and of astronomy and physics with various short treatises, so that trigonometry textbook. The Treaty of physics is based on Newtonian physics lessons that gave Keill Oxford. Scottish mathematician and advocate of the work of Newton, professor of Oxford was one of the first to teach physics and astronomy from mathematics.
