first edition dedicated to Maria Theresa of Austria (1717-1780), Archduchess of Austria and Queen of Hungary. The book was printed by the Society of Jesus which is the motto at the end under the intiales OAMDG, "Omnia ad Dei gloriam majorem".

Bound in full brown calf, back with six nerves decorated with gilded finials, contreplats to the tank, title page in red and black, all red edges.

Rubbed Caps, missing tail back, rubbed boards, four corners bumped. Page missing at the end guard, pale wetting at the inner margin in the first six books, restored in the second page book, very light work in outer margin to p.109.

Francis Borgia KERI, Hungarian Jesuit astronomer and historian, taught philosophy and theology at Tyrnau, Hungary. Imperatores orientis wants a chronological study of the Byzantine emperors, from Constantine I the Great to Constantine XI Palaeologus.
