First edition, very rare. Portrait of Nicolo Martelli in title page, on wood, in a medallion.
Binding ca 1820 in half hazelnut. Back with false nerves adorned with 5 cold irons and nets cold and hot. Eliminated headdress. Lower joint open at the top. Rubbed together. The two low corners folded and stripped of marbled paper.
Label on the contreplat: Harvard College Libray. From the bequest of Mary PC Nash, Benett Hubbard Nash intructor and professor of italian and spanish. 1866-1894. Stamp at the bottom of the label: Harvard College Library Released. On the back of the title page, stamp: Harvard College Library Nah Fund. In gray pencil underneath: July 22 1926.
