Binders full mottled calf brown vintage. Back with nerves decorated. title Parts and topaison red morocco. A hitch in the volume number part of Volume II. Some scuffs on the boards. Beautiful copy, relatively fine.
Essential for bone running from the executive, parliaments, starting with that of Paris, were severely repressed by Louis XV. After the Edict of December 1770 that restricts the rights of Parliaments, Louis XV ordered the arrest and exile of 130 magistrates Parliament of Paris. On 18 January 1771 the Parliament of Paris having reiterated his refusal to sit for ratify the royal decisions, the Keeper of the Seals Maupeou convinced the king to break its systematic opposition. Louis XVI restore the parelmentaires in office in 1774. The book carefully studied the articles of the Edict of 1770 and presents the history of parliaments.
