First edition illustrated two frontispieces and 12 anonymous figures before the letter (the draw is particularly significant). Cohen cites only the edition of 1744 with 9 figures and ignores this first edition. The original text was published in 1677.
Two title pages were linked after the first at Van Buren in The Hague, the title "Adventures of miss of Meyrac, true story"; the second to Claude Jordan address in Amsterdam with the title: "The heroine musketeer true story." Adding that ultimately privilege for 1712 is to Paris.
Bound in full morocco glossy red of the late nineteenth signed Hardy. Back with nerves decorated. Triple mentoring net on the boards. Rich inner frieze. Gilt edges. The lower plate, small leather gaps along the supervisory net.
