First Edition, a great rarity, adorned with a frontispiece title: Saint John the Baptist and Christ capped with arms, probably those of the dedicatee, lord of Fontenille Full red morocco of the late nineteenth signed David. Back to nerves decorated with threads forming boxes. Gilt title, date and place. Gilt edges. Wide frieze inside. Light rubbing on caps and nerves; a scratch on the bottom plate; 2 corners slightly rubbed. Very nice copy. Apology and hagiography of Saint John the Baptist built to the theological virtues, a preacher of the Discalced Augustinian order. --- Please note that the translation in english is done automatically, we apologize if the formulas are inaccurate.
