Pierre Montmaur was a colorful character seventeenth and described himself as: The largest parasite that the world has ever seen! He haunted the salons in the idea of ??dinner and appetite all seemed to know no bounds, despite its extreme thinness. He himself admitted doing so by greed, and not content to stick to boards, he pointedly showed incredible pedantry and attacked everyone in his epigrams and witticisms, which everyone was a victim of the letters. Thus Cleaning, Car, Sorel, of Alibray were taunted by him and bound him to answer the mocking by pamphlets. The book is not only composed of the story of Peter Montmaur by Sallengres, but also the writings of the latter and all satirical texts that have been written about him, and the Balzac Guez of Barbon and the parasite Mormon Mothe Le Vayer. Montmaur was, however, never worried and continued to rage, many pensions that were granted him assured him a package of more than adequate life.
