Fourth edition, after the original appeared in 1673.
Contemporary binding in full red morocco ornate. Back with five nerves ornate gilded nets and florets and a room as black morocco. Large gold lace framing boards. Fine gold lace (40 min width) in coaching contreplats; irons spandrel of exceptional complexity. All edges gilt. Beautiful richly bound copy.
Head cap expertly restored and a bit.
History of Toulouse Capitouls from their Roman origin. This study in which the author makes many assumptions establishes a history of the city of Toulouse gifted many valuable information. The author has gathered numerous documents, drawing historians proof of the nobility of the Capitouls.
Rare copy richly drawn in red morocco of the time.
