New edition, after the original was published in 1773 in Berlin. A folding map in Volume II representing the Great Wall of China. Full mottled brown sheepskin. Smooth back decorated. Piece of red morocco, and volume number of brown morocco. Head cover of Volume I threadbare and torn that of Volume II. Upper joint of Volume I open mind. Corners bumped. Bit rubbed. Famous work in which the scientist Crow Paw rejects the accepted view that while all Chinese civilization descended from Egyptians. Many writings were accredited this theory. By judicious reflections and a point-by-point examination of the particularities of each civilization, Paw shows instead that the two peoples are very distant from one another. The book is rich in teaching about Chinese history and customs of the Chinese. --- Please note that the translation in english is done automatically, we apologize if the formulas are inaccurate.
