Editions of Curtius on Alexander's life were numerous in the sixteenth century. We were unable to determine if it was a first for John Frellon, although not identified any've earliest edition in this editor (especially in the catalog of Lyon Aurelianensis sixteenth editions) present only in the catalog Edinburgh. It was always praised his qualities as a writer, geographic and military knowledge, even if they are full of errors.
