First edition, very famous, and data ordering, revised and redesigned by L'Ecluse des Loges royal Oeconomies Sully. Title pages in red and black; three vignettes title by Fessard and many ornaments (headers, tail-lamp, initials). Full marbled calf contemporary. Back to nerves ornate. Part of title and volume number in red morocco. Double net coaching Cold boards. Head cover of Volume I pulled; tail threadbare. Upper joint split open the head and tail; lower joint split; 2 corners bare. Head of Volume II partly threadbare; upper and lower joints open tail; a dull corner. Volume III of the lower joint open with missing tail; upper joint open mind. Despite the many flaws cited copy of resilience. NB: The portraits were not inserted into the first editions, they also not part of publishing, but belonged to the Odieuvre collection that will be published entirely in 1755; some copies, rare portraits contain up to 58 and most have only two, but copies of first draft does not. The text of Sully was redesigned in modern French.
