Second edition of this translation by Jean de Montlyard. The magnificent illustration, which makes it one of the most beautiful works illustrated under Louis XIII, includes a title-frontispiece and 52 full-page figures by Daniel Rabel, and engraved on copper by Michel Lasne.
Copy to the arms of Claude Molé, the king's ordinary steward, and one of the best bibliophiles of the seventeenth century.
Binding in full icy blonde gloss of time. Back to nerves adorned with the figure and weapons of Claude Molé, twice his weapons and twice his number. title label of blond calf. Plates struck with small arms (same iron used for the back and boards) and double framing net.
