Second edition of the collective works of Racine, illustrated with 2 titles-frontispieces engraved in intaglio including one after Le Brun and 10 inset figures of Chauveau engraved in intaglio, included in the pagination.
Bindings in full dark blue morocco, back with five richly ornamented nerves, boards adorned with two frames of triple doed nets and irons drilled in ecoinçoins, guards and counterplates - framed with lace - combed paper, double gilded net on the cuts , all golden sections, bindings signed Léon Fixon.
Superb copy, entirely set in red and established in an elegant signed binding.
