Bound in full red morocco late nineteenth signed Hardy on the inside cover in gold letters. Back with nerves Jansenist title, location and golden date. gilt edges. Rich inner frieze. Very nice copy with fresh paper.
This edition of the popular works of Viau is the prettiest of old editions of the poet, it was published at the request of George Scudery who added a preface and an apology for Theophile.
