Edition includes the three texts Bayle: Other Thoughts (1722) Additions to various thoughts (1722) and responses to several dificultez (1736-1737). Full mottled calf blond at the time. Back smooth decorated with pieces of red morocco, spare volume numbers tinged with black boxes and gilded finials. Simple nets cold frame boards. All red edges. Four corners bumped. Nice copy. All three books that Bayle devoted to the critique of superstition, intolerance and religious fanaticism taking commme base its discussion the passage of the comet. This is the first trial in which Bayle himself known and already has all the analytical skills that will make the reputation of the author. Continuation of the various thoughts, which Bayle deepens his thesis was written nearly twenty years after the various thoughts.
