Original manuscript of this translation of the work of Ringhieri (Tuscan) by Jean Louveau, published in Lyon in 1562 at Antoine Vollant. Transcription by Father Delaporte. Elegant script on blue laid paper, with black pen. The epistle to the pastor of Vaugirard in Nantes, is dated 1865. Fine writing very readable. Half red morocco time. Back tooled raised florets 5. Gilt. Light rubbing. Good copy. Transcriber had a copy of the edition of 1562, first appeared in 1557. September dialogues put face to face life and death in an exchange that owes more to the Christian stoicism, a rather philosophical and humanistic meditation that theology rather absent from these dialogues. --- Please note that the translation in english is done automatically, we apologize if the formulas are inaccurate.
