Mentioned as the fourth edition, after the first one published in 1790. Illustrated with 212 in-text woodcut figures of animals and 107 vignettes, all by Bewick.
Bound in contemporary half black morocco with corners. Smooth spine decorated with fillets. Gilt title. Floral embossed paper boards. Rubbing, more noticeable at the corners. P. 3 to 14 wrinkled and creased, otherwise clean and fresh throughout. A fairly good copy.
