Illustrated with 6 folding plates designed by Levret engraved by Mutel, representing polyps, surgical and obstetric instruments, which were modified and improved by Levret.Plein brown calf contemporary. Back tooled raised. Part of title in red morocco. Partially frayed rotator tail. Bit split in head and tail of the top plate. A dull corner. Owner name was crossed out and snatched the title page, leaving a hole in the papier.André Levret is certainly the most famous eighteenth obstetrician, he has improved the technical and was taken to the court attendant. This important publication covers polyps, soft tumors affecting the mucous membranes, the first chapters dealing exclusively with the female genitals, anus and colon, following the nose and throat. She acknowledges the comments of the practitioner and interventions.
