First Edition. Paperback, covered with a strong blue paper later. Abraham Vater (1684-1751), German botanist and anatomist, doctor of philosophy and medicine. He met Frederick Ruysch early. Once appointed professor of anatomy and botany, he founded an anatomical museum, which did much to his fame. Most of his writings concerning the anatomy, as this exchange on the orbicularis muscle with Ruysch, one of the most famous anatomists of Holland paper (also botanist), Fontenelle wrote a eulogy at his address.
