First edition, rare, illustrated with a view of the city of Clermont and surrounding volcanoes. Half Calf midnight blue boards. Smooth back to great romantic long iron. Good copy. The last page of the table is so frayed margins. The author who spent five months in Clermont Ferrand and Auvergne visited, is proposed as a travelogue to the glory of an unknown and remarkable for tourism region; much of the book is a description of the city of Clermont-Ferrand. The rest of the book is devoted to the peculiarities of the Auvergne, namely volcanoes and sources.
