New edition, the same year as the original that appeared in London and Paris.
Binding full brown marbled vintage calf. Back with ornate nerves. title label in red morocco. Upper joint split in the head and tail. Eliminated headdress. Friction. Nice copy.
Boncerf was the secretary of Turgot, whose theses inspired the work. His ideas are revolutionary, the author claiming the freeing of funds as people, proposing to authorize the redemption of all rents, duties and servitudes feudal. The book knew an unheard-of reverberation and the power immediately saw the danger of the advanced theses, condemning the work to be burned on February 23, 1776. An intervention of Turgot prevented Boncerf from being condemned. 32 editions appeared until 1791, sometimes with the name of Turgot.
