Second edition of this text was published in delivery to Amsterdam early as 1689 under the title: The sighs of France slave, which included 15 stores. Only 13 papers are included in this collection. Full mottled calf time. Smooth back nicely decorated wheels and jewels. Part of title morocco fawn. Tag library in mind. Small rips with gaps in head cover. Work of the pastor and polemicist Jurieu Pierre (1637-1713), the memoirs are a violent criticism of the government of Louis XIV. There are all the abuses denounced both absolutism that the power of the Church. The author laments the disintegration of the nobility and promotes peoples' sovereignty and subordination of kings to the States General, principles that we find in the French Revolution.
