First edition illustrated with 12 steel engravings by Rouargue brothers, portraits in foot of sailors with weapons in chromolithography.
Publisher's cardboard in full percaline night blue embossed with special irons. Smooth back decorated with several marine devices (anchor, cannon, globe ...) gilded. Upper plate with a large plaque signed Haarhaus evoking exotic travel with canoe, boat, monkey, turtle, peregrine ... and 4 crowns with angular weapons (blue or red). A golden composition on the lower dish. 3 blunt corners. Lower dish with an old trace of wetness in its lower part. Scattered foxing.
Good copy, fresh cardboard.
