First Edition, illustrated with 44 woodcut planks and many woods in-text (the title page announcing 300 drawings) after Nanteuil, Gavarni ... Beautiful illustrated romantic.
Publisher's cardboard in full soft green percaline. Smooth back with gilded Paris weapons, the title on a banner, the date and the tomaison. The boards are decorated with polychrome Paris weapons with different colors on the boards, blue, red and white; framing frames and irons in the spandrels. Golden slices. A cut in the tail of Volume 2. Traces of friction. Some rare foxinges.
Beautiful copy, rare in his cartonnage editor, precious in this color green.
Historical texts on the streets of Paris by Jules Janin, Eugène Briffault, Louis Huart ... under the direction of Lurine. The book draws the history of certain streets of Paris, squares, neighborhoods ... the most famous of the capital.
