Bound in full brown morocco, back with five nerves, first board embellished at its center with a knight's cross of the Legion of Honor, guards and contreplats of handmade paper, framing of a golden lace on the contreplats, head golden.
Illustrated book of 73 plates inset (including 9 in color) and many facsimiles inset.
A photographic portrait of Jules Kaerhling, knight of the Legion of Honor in July 1936, collapsed next to the justification page of the draw and accompanied by the diploma of the national order of the Legion d'Honneur were linked at the beginning of the volume .
Our copy is enriched with the manucrit draft, including 9 leaflets foliotés, of the speech that pronounced Jules Kaerhling on the occasion of the reception of his honorary decoration of knight of the Legion of Honor; it also includes the transcription of the speech of Jules Verger he held in honor of Jules Kaerhling and two menus of the restaurant Drouant where met, in October following, the friends of Jules Kaerhling and recipients of the Legion d'Honneur to celebrate the new knight Kaerhling.
One of the two menus, in the likeness of Jules Kaerhling, is embellished with many signatures of friends and knights.
The same people who showed their friendship to the new knight Kaerhling by putting their signatures on a guard of the work.
