Edition consists of five volumes on Paris, three of the Province and the colonies and Prism bonus given to subscribers, and often missing. Bound in half roan cherry back with four nerves adorned parts of title and volume number of black sheepskin, caissons, nets and small floral florets gilt initials "NM" golden tail, all marbled edges. A head cover and spine lightly rubbed. Famous gallery of portraits engraved on wood social classes of the nineteenth century made by the greatest artists of the time: Gavarni, Daumier, Delacroix, Grandville, Johannot, Bellangé, Charlet, Daubigny, Vernet, Isabey, Lami, Meissonier, Monnier, Traviès, etc..
