Elegent half black morocco over marbled paper boards by P. Goy, spine in six compartments with double blindruled fillets, date to foot, marbled endpapers and pastedowns, covers preserved mounted on guards (small angular lacks filled in).
Rare inscription from Louise Colet to the Marquise de Boissy.
This copy is enriched with a three-page autograph letter in which the author deplores the fact that she « missed » the addressee during her visit to Paris and outlines her plans for a visit to Italy, where they will finally be able to meet. A little spotting, a very pale marginal dampstain to final leaves.
A rare set.
Perfectly bound.
