First edition, one of the few copies on Holland paper which he is no mention, only large papers.
Bound in red half morocco with corners, back with five nerves slightly thinned set with black fillets decorated with double black boxes to the centers where the golden initials of great bibliophile Roger Cormenin is repeated five times, marbled paper plates, paper guards and contreplats to the tank, gilded head, elegant slightly later and not binding signed.
Original preface of Sainte-Beuve.
Provenance: the library Cormenin Roger, son of Louis de Cormenin who was the confidant and secretary of Théophile Gautier and also a close friend of Gustave Flaubert.
