The first edition, rare and very sought-after (Clouzot) of which there were no large paper copies.
Elegant and superb navy blue morocco by Septier, spine in five compartments, date in gilt at foot of spine, gilt roulettes to head- and tailpieces, moiré endpapers and pastedowns, sextuples gilt fillets and fillet frame to covers, double gilt fillets to edges of covers, covers preserved, all edges gilt.
A rare and very goo copy nicely bound.
Provenance : the library of José Peraya with his ex libris to a free endpaper.
