First edition with false mention of second edition. A beautiful title-frontispiece on hard paper by Célestin Nanteuil, protected by a snake. The publication, which is part of the first collective edition of Renduel, is about the title as it should be: Works by Victor Hugo. Drama. VI. Marie Tudor. Hugo's preface of November 17, 1833.
Binding slightly posterior ca 1840 half iced black shagreen. Back with false nerves adorned with boxes and casters. Flesp scattered in the margins. Good copy.
