First edition published by an authentic copy made on the autograph manuscript in the Hermitage, one of 200 numbered copies on Holland paper, one draw with 20 and 20 Whatman China.
Bound in black morocco half, back with five nerves decorated with gilded initials of great bibliophile Roger Cormenin repeated five times, golden tail date a tear on the top cap, light friction on the joints, marbled paper plates, guards and contreplats of handmade paper, gilded head, elegant binding of the unsigned time.
Foreword by Louis-Antoine Le Duc Léouzon
Provenance: the library Cormenin Roger, son of Louis de Cormenin who was the confidant and secretary of Théophile Gautier and also a close friend of Gustave Flaubert.
Pleasant beautifully drawn copy.
