Bradel binding in half chocolate brown morocco, gilt date at the foot of the spine, marbled paper boards, marbled endpapers, preserved wrappers, illustrated by Manuel Orazi, and spine.
Work illustrated with 136 in-text and insert drawings in black and in colour by Georges Bottini.
Glued ex-libris.
Our copy is enriched with an original, full page drawing signed by Georges Bottini and enhanced with black ink depicting Jacques Beaudarmon wearing a melon on his head talking with the “môme” “girl”. This drawing is found in the form of a woodcut block as an illustration on page 133.
The drawing is dedicated by Georges Bottini to M. Casanove: “en grande sympathie...” “in great sympathy...”
An exceedingly rare large paper copy of the masterpiece by Jean Lorrain.
