Bound in half red shagreen with corners, back with four nerves set with gilded nets decorated with double gilded coffered, framing of double gilt fillets on marbled paper plates, guards and contreplats paper to the tank, a blunt cpoin, marbled, contemporary binding.
Our copy is enriched by an autograph letter signed and dated a page of Henri Murger in which he particularly regrets not being able to meet its scheduled appointment since he is suffering.

Provenance: the library Cormenin Roger, son of Louis de Cormenin who was the confidant and secretary of Theophile Gautier and also a close friend of Gustave Flaubert.
