first edition, one of 30 numbered copies on Holland paper, only large papers after 10 Japan.
Half-maroon binding with brown corners, smooth back decorated with a gilded cartouche decorated with incisions of brown and green morocco pieces with flowers and small golden bees, golden date in tail, frames of golden fillets on the boards, Guards and counterplates of paper to the vat, golden head on witnesses, blankets and backs conserved, binding of the signed era of Capelle.
Small foxing affecting the margins of some leaflets.
Pleasant copy at all margins and nicely established by Capelle of this work which was crowned with the Goncourt prize in 1912.
