Binding half shagreen straw back with five nerves decorated with cold boxes doubles the centers where the golden initials of the great bibliophile Roger Cormenin is repeated five times, golden tail date, title piece turquoise morocco, marbled paper boards , guards and contreplats of handmade paper, sprinkled edges, slightly later elegant binding and unsigned.
Illustrated book with a drawing of George Rochegrosse shot China.
Provenance: the library Cormenin Roger, son of Louis de Cormenin who was the confidant and secretary of Theophile Gautier and also a close friend of Gustave Flaubert.
Pleasant beautifully drawn copy.
