Bradel binding in half green percaline, smooth back, golden date and place in tail, piece of nutty chagrin headline with small scratches, marbled paper plates, preserved covers, signed Petitot binding.
Small patches in feet of the first cover plate and first sheets.
The first cover plate is decorated with a scathing judgment on this work, a previous owner also specified the real name of the author who is hidden behind the pseudonym of Van Engelgom.
Rare.
Provenance: from the library of Paul Lacombe with its beautiful engraved bookplate illustrating the Pont-Neuf seen from the booksellers of Quai Conti.
