Beautiful edition of this classic of German Romanticism, published for the first time in the magazine led by Fouque in 1811. Illustrated out text, many vignettes, with a frontispiece, headbands and initials. Gothic characters. Full black shagreen. Back to 5 pet nerves Jansenist. Engraved title or the center of the board. Inner frieze. Binding signed Clash. Pale foxing on the edges of margins. Ondine is a very famous fairy tale, one of the most famous in the pantheon of German Romanticism. Giraudoux later gave his own dramatic version.
