First edition of the French translation of Germond de Lavigne illustrated with a frontispiece and vignettes of text drawn by Henri Emy and engraved by A. Baulant, foreword of the translator to the academician Charles Nodier.
Binding in half shagreen, back with false nerves adorned with boxes and gilded nets, paper plates *
Coins and cuts damaged with lack of paper, some scratches on the boards, scattered foxinges. Good internal state.
The copy contains a certificate of honorary award from the College of Niort awarded August 14, 1847 glued to the first contreplat.
