First edition of this monumental work illustrated with more than 400 engravings in the text.
Bindings in half green shagreen, back with four nerves decorated with golden decorative patterns representing the symbols of Imperial Russia, framing of cold fillets on the green cardboard plates decorated with the golden arms of Imperial Russia for the first boardes and the crown golden imperial for the latter, guards and counterparts of white moiré silk, golden edges, upper corners of the first volume slightly blunted, contemporary bindings signed Heldt in tails of the backs.
Some foxinges, the boards of the first volume have uniformly and completely turned brown.
