Publisher's binding in full navy shagreen, back with four nerves set with gilded nets and adorned with five golden boxes decorated with golden motiffloral angles, golden wheels on the caps, some traces of friction without too much gravity on the back, framing of cold fillets and sextuples gilded nets as well as golden florets in spandrels on the boards, first board struck in the center of the golden arms of the duchy of Baden, guards of white silk moire, garlands gilded on the cuts, corners slightly blunted , all golden slices.
Book decorated with illustrations by Tony Johannot, Eugène Lamy, French and Jacquemot.
Our copy is complete, in frontispiece, of the full-length portrait of Frederick, Prince Regent of Baden drawn on Chinese paper, of the colored map of the Duchy of Baden, of the portrait of Leopold, Grand Duke of Baden fired on China, of 14 inset prints as well as 6 costume boards finely embellished with watercolor.
The illustration finally includes 53 vignettes.
Pleasant copy despite some foxing affecting some leaflets and a tiny hole on page 71.
