Edition in part original because review by the authors, first edition illustrated printed with 425 copies, ours numbered on Holland paper.
The book is magnificently adorned with 76 original etchings, drawn with a rag, designed and engraved by Gaston Balande, including a title sticker, twelve inserts, 35 letterheads, 28 lamp-ends and color initials.
Binding in full lemon maoquin, back with five nerves, first board decorated with a frame of walls and turrets of brown morocco, floral pattern mosaic at the two upper corners, coat of arms on a heart carried by two angels in the center of the dish, counterplates and guards silk, golden head on witnesses, hard case, binding signed by Pierre Leydet.
