cartonnage red editor says "For two elephants." Cold macaroon on the second flat. Belle top plate. Back pretty well, but scattered with small dirt. Second flat in beautiful condition despite two small white spots. 2 corners skillfully resumed. Headdresses restored and the joints of the second flat but good boards. Internal hinge bearing friction. Slight trace of wetness in the right edge on the first pages otherwise clean together with some small spots or freckles. A restored slips in low margin p. 103. 2 leaves emerged slightly on edge. Overall copy of beautiful appearance, despite the reported defects.

The Green Ray is a sentimental novel where the young heroine, to escape a marriage against nature says she will marry lorqu see the green flash, optical phenomenon that the protagonists of the story looking in Scotland.
