The best edition, partly original, with 60 color plates against 41 in black in the first edition of 1831. Colored plates by hand engraved by A. Delvaux.
binding in half green shagreen with vintage corners signed H. Kaufmann at the tail. Back with nerves decorated with decorated boxes, cold frames of the boxes, cold and golden fillets. Fat and lean filst on the boards. Golden slices. Frictions. Large brown marks on the half title and the title. A trace of wetting in the upper margin on the preliminary pages, scattered pitting in the text. The boards are in good condition, sometimes with some brown bites in the margins due to the snakes still present.
