Binders half brown calf, spine raised on four bands set with gilded garlands decorated with arabesques romantic cold stamped, gilded friezes heads and tails, marbled paper plates, guards and contreplats of handmade paper, marbled edges, a corner dull, elegant romantic bindings of the time.
Illustrated book of a portrait of the author engraved by Ethion frontispiece of the first volume of his complete well and facsimile brochure frontispiece of the fourth and final volume.
Some foxing.
Nice copy, complete in four volumes, established uniform and romantic contemporary binding.
