Bound in half red shagreen, spine slightly thinned with five nerves set with gold decorated with double gilded coffered nets, golden behalf tail back, casters gilded on caps, framing of double nets gilded on the boards, gilded initial hit to center first board, guards and contreplats paper moiré, framing a golden lace on contreplats, all edges gilt, elegant binding the unsigned time.
Provenance: the library Cormenin Roger, son of Louis de Cormenin who was the confidant and secretary of Theophile Gautier and also a close friend of Gustave Flaubert.
Pleasant beautifully drawn copy.
