New edition, one of very few copies printed on salmon paper which he makes no mention.
Binders full brown shagreen, back with five nerves set with black nets decorated with double black boxes decorated with golden central florets, casters gilded on caps, frame quintuple black nets on the boards enriched spandrels golden e florets struck at their centers four gilded florets forming a rhombus, guards and contreplats of handmade paper, framing a golden lace on contreplats, gilt edges, dotted gilded on the cuts, elegant unsigned bindings.
The set, complete in six volumes, consists of:
- Volume 1 & 2: The caravanserai
- Volume 3: Bardouc or the shepherd of Mount Taurus
- Volume 4, 5 & 6: New Stories and News news
Small minor foxing on the white guards binders.
Rare and pleasant copy, probably unique, beautifully prepared and printed on salmon paper.
