Mentioned second edition illlustrée three figures engraved by Tardieu. The first edition was published in Vol 3. in-18 the same year.
Full mottled brown sheepskin. Back tooled raised. Part of title and volume number in red morocco long grain. A hitch with missing head of the first volume. Friction. 2 corners bumped. Hat II volumes partly threadbare.
All light and gallant tales by François Lantier. Verses he turned to Madame du Barry led to his being pensioned by Choiseul and to obtain a position in Dresden. He is the author of travel Antenor. His stories, he himself wrote about it in his preface: "It is better to make fairy tales that political dreams and have a small clandestine trade with the muses, that the burden of public affairs on the back. "
