First Edition, extracted from the first delivery of the Description of Egypt Part: Antiques, Memoirs. Many footnotes pages. A chalkboard representing the metric under the Ptolemies of Egypt. Cardboard modern parchment cream. Part of title in black sheepskin and gilt. Very good condition, because the copy is as published, wide-margined on vellum paper. The thesis traces the research nilometer on Elephantine Island, description and function as the importance of the discovery, since it nilometer, in addition to providing a history of raw Nile used to raise and pyramid measure.
